Google has added a new feature to their advanced search. It is called Usage Rights. What Usage Rights will do , is allow you to search for images based on their copyrighted material.
![]()
This means you can search for images that you can put up on your website, blog, production, etc. No there is absolutely no excuse for using copyrighted material.
Thank you Google for not letting me get sued.

The results google gives you don’t eliminate the possibility of infringement only the likelihood. And as it doesn’t address author permissions, while a photo may be in the public domain that doesn’t mean the author has lost any rights to restrict copying.
Yeah but I would say that this is a huge step towards making it easier to find pictures that will not get you in trouble. As an owner of a blog, it can get really easy to google an image keyword and then post it up. This makes it hard to give an excuse for using copyrighted material.
This is useful, thanks for pointing it out.
