Verizon has been training their employees in IT for the Blackberry Storm 2. This means that the release of Verizon’s iPhone competitor is set for sometime this summer. Now the question is what are they going to change and why?
With the recent realease of the original Storm, this decision to rush the release of a second version makes me wonder where they plan to go with the Storm Franchise. They will not gain many current Storm users because they haven’t even had their contracts for a year. The only positive business aspect of the Storm 2 is the relaunch of the “app store” that will bring in more potential customers.
What can we expect from the Storm 2? Who knows. Probably a smoother operating system as laggy user interface was a common complaint against the original Storm. And, once again, probably a relaunch of the “app store” that the Storm series has struggled finding customers for. If we are lucky, maybe wi-fi. Most likely not as the technology has not improved much in the 6 months since the release of the first Storm.
