So I was reading around the internet when i started seeing a lot of news about these guys from China were able to crack iTunes gift cards.
They were able to sell gift cards worth $300 on iTunes, for $3. They were able to reverse engineer the algorithms that give the voucher codes (you know that
terribly long amount of letters and numbers you have to put in before your gift card is worth anything).
So theoretically they were able to place any amount of money they wanted on a card and sell them off to the public…. I Want One!!!!!
I’m pretty sure Apple has no idea what to do. This will probably involve reengineering the entire voucher system. So far there hasn’t been any word from Apple regarding the hack.
